The fifteenth amendment to the Constitution grants every American the right to vote.
Gerrymandering, or the redrawing of districts to obtain a majority, undermines the fabric of our democracy. One look at North Carolina’s voting districts and you can see how this practice stacks the deck. And this happens in Texas, too. And both parties are guilty of it. It seems like the political machine is the only thing that benefits. I’ll vote against this practice in every case.
Americans prefer to vote with their neighbors regardless of their party affiliation.
