The Social Security Cap

Billions of Americans pay their Social Security of 6.2% and forget about it.  We're used to it.  We know as Americans we will receive benefits when we reach the age of 65. The average taxpayer may not have even been aware that after you reach $118, 500, you no longer contribute.

 

Besides, most people never reached the limit of $118,500 that caps that tax.  Bernie is right on this one.  Everyone must pay their fair share of social security.

A multimillionaire who earns 5 million in one year pays the same as someone making $118k?  That's not right.

 

I will submit legislation that removes the cap on social security, so everyone can pay their fair share.
