The rhetoric of our politicians and special interest groups have muddied the waters about pregnancy. By using the labels, “Pro-Life” and “Pro-Choice,” Americans stand in opposition. However, when you drill down to the facts, we aren’t that far from agreement.
In the case of rape and incest, I will not further victimize these women. It must be their choice.
Reproductive care
Women should have access to birth control, Plan B, and free clinics, such as Planned Parenthood. If insurance covers Viagra under Medicare and Medicaid, then women need to receive the same benefits for birth control.
Mr. Cruz’s Position
Strongly anti-abortion, he has said he “would allow the procedure only when a pregnancy endangers the mother’s life. In January 2016, Cruz announced his Pro-Lifers for Cruz coalition, headed by Tony Perkins; co-chairs include Troy Newman, author of Their Blood Cries Out, in which he calls abortion doctors, “blood guilty,” and has stated that the government has a responsibility to execute abortion doctors "in order to expunge bloodguilt [sic] from the land and people."
